I am a Student: I am here to learn, to grow, to take each day at a time, and to be a student. Studying and fulling engaging myself in my coursework is extremely important to me, as I feel it is often overlooked.
Leader Advancement Scholar: I am blessed to be a part of an organization where I am surrounded by outstanding students and a curriculum created for success.
A Letter for Better – President: Spreading happiness and positivity to strangers through hand written letters.
American Psychological Society Student Caucus (APSSC): APSSC is a student organization for undergraduate and graduate students as a national networking and information resource. This program has given me the opportunity to conduct undergraduate research in psychology, provided me with necessary faculty connections, answered my questions about applying to grad school, and has further strengthened my love for psychology. I am even presented with the opportunity to go to a national psychology conference in April where students will present research and make meaningful connections with other psych majors!
I served as a facilitator of this program within the Leadership Institute last year and will again this year. I helped emerging student leaders discover their leadership style, the importance of empathy vs. sympathy, and how to engage in community service. I formed meaningful relationships with other facilitators and became more involved in the LI.
