I’ve chosen to pursue studying psychology in college because it’s truly been one of the few constant interests in my life. Ever since I was 7 years old, I was writing on my papers “When I grow up, I want to be a psychologist.” I had no idea the magnitude of what a psychologist really is, yet I knew I wanted to be one. Crazy, right? I think some things are just meant to be, and my interest in understanding people has led me to this point.

I’m extremely passionate about learning about others. I can’t stand surface level relationships and I never will be one for small talk. Tell me what makes you the person you are and how you feel about something you’re passionate about. That’s so beautiful to me.

As a happy member of the Leader Advancement Scholarship at CMU, I am studying leadership as a minor and really loving how it is shaping my college experience. Leadership is so much more than having the ability to lead, rather, it is being able to identify your values and live with integrity, finding something you’re passionate about, and being able to make a change in the world.
